kkf,

I like to complain alone. *giggle* don't like to form a negativity group. *giggle*
surprisingly no parents knew about the exam till we got the report card on the 2nd meet the teacher's session!
We were lucky to know because we needed to talk to the teacher about 'other' matters and she told us 'out of convenience'.
If we didn't go to her for the other matters, we would not have known, just like the other parents.

It was written in the report card and the grades would affect the final year results.
Seems like Keatkeat is in an unusual school...which errrmmm... happened to be my Primary School too. *giggle*

then you shd form a parents complain group. hee. how about the rest of keat's classmates? they did not complain about no letters given for CA and SA?

But one reason could be that the school is REALLY assessing the kids and don't want to stress the parents and kids out by notifying you all of the dates, and then forcing you all to revise and revise and revise with the kids, so they never issue letters (but the marks shouldn't be recorded in report books then).

kkf,

why would I mind? I love honesty above all else. *smile*
Remember? Keatkeat's teacher is MY Primary one teacher too! So I know her well. She does not complain for the sake of complaining, its really for the well-being of my boy.
Nope! No letters were given about the CA and SA.
Had an appointment made with the teacher and principal on 26th May.

it is not possible for schools not to inform parents about exams like CA AND SA. you must ask the teachers about it. They will give out letters to parents like what my school did and those topics that need to be studied. Did you miss the letter out?

You shd really voice out to principal.

As to teachers' complaints, actually do treat them seriously. Teachers do not anyhow complain about a child unless the problem is serious, like it is interrupting the class or affecting the child himself. I do complain about the kids in my class too, but I am just trying to help them, as we will like parents to take note of what we observe about the kids, and correct the child in time. Also, don't mind me being honest with u, for a p1 child, his results shd be Band 1 or Band 2 preferably, else it will get more difficult each year, so do revise more with keat. :) (hope u dun mind).
