I agree that sometime it is necessary to show our kids some reality of life to make them understand how lucky they are.

I happened to be telling my boys abt some of the poor families from other countries who starved each day bcos of lack of food too. Everytime I see their unfinished food & telling me how "not nice" their food is... ... I will have to remind how fortunate they are here.
