Happy Too Early Too Soon…

Health

As per previous post ‘Dilemma? Maybe…‘, I wanted to try out the 1hour nap plan for the boys. In the end, it was a 3hours nap ‘cos Keatkeat fell sick! *faint*

Keatkeat came home from school with stomachache.
Did not finish his lunch and went straight to bed.
Fever came…
Followed by uncontrollable diarrhea… the situation was Very Much The Same as what I had experienced with him when he was two years old (see blog post ‘My Worst Day As A Mommy‘). The BIG Difference was, we were not in public!

So I was Happy Too Early Too Soon.
No more 4 hour me-time till he is well… *pout*
The doctor gave him an one-day MC.
The doctor told us last night that it might be food poisoning or stomach flu.

Me: “When did the pain start?”
Keatkeat: “After recess.”
Me: “So what did you eat during recess?”
Keatkeat: “Omelet and Yakult.”

Hhmmm….
He had these before without any issue. But this is the first time he had that combination. Bad combination, maybe.
Hhmmm…

This morning he vomited AND still had that thick greenish slimy poo.
So it was out from the top AND the bottom.
Imagine holding a bin in his hand for the Top Flow while rooted on the toilet bowl for the Bottom Splash. *sigh*

Hope he gets well soon, or else we would need to visit the doctor again tonight for another MC for tomorrow…
*pout*

Dilemma? Maybe…

Parenting

YES!!! (with clenched fists withdrawing to chest and a HUGE Grin on my face…)

Finally! Both boys are in the morning session. A full 4 hours of delicious ME-TIME! Yummy!

So what did I do with my 4hours today? I permed my hair again! *laugh* Followed by couple-time with Allan…*whoo-la-la* *laugh*

Alright, alright, this blog is not about me, but the kids. So, here is a question for all you lovable Mommies who have children in Primary School, morning session:

“Does your kids take nap?
If yes, when?”

Ok, why do I ask?

‘Cos Keatkeat would need to wake up at 6am and when he does, the 7 year old’s whining easily wakes Binbin, thus both will be up at 6am. When they are up so early, they need a nap in the afternoon.

But,
should it be BEFORE Homework?
or AFTER Homework?

Today, we tried the ‘Nap BEFORE Homework’ plan:
-1pm KeatKeat’s lessons end
-1pm to 2pm Lunch time
-2pm to 3pm Travel Home for Shower
-3pm to 3.30pm Toss and Turn before dozing off
-5.30pm Wake them up
-6pm Start doing homework, etc etc

End result?
They have difficulty sleeping at night! *faint*
Binbin fell asleep at 11.25pm.
And now, as I am typing, Keatkeat is still doing his ‘human-size-sushi-rolling’ on his mattress. *eyes rolled*

Tomorrow, we are going to try the 1hour-Nap plan, instead of the 2hour-Nap…….hhmmm…
