In Spite Of…

Parenting

In Spite of being completely dumb-founded after accidentally ‘approved’ the entry of a computer virus YESTERDAY, I still had to be a smiling Mommy.

In Spite of being completely helpless to the undying pop-ups of warnings minutes after minutes, I still have to be a Mommy capable of making my kids enjoy every minute of their school holidays.

In Spite of NOT being able to do what I love (blogging and blog hopping) and feeling agitated all over, I still had to control my temper and NOT vent them on my lovable boys.

In Spite of the ‘Red Days’ symptoms almost tearing me apart, I still need to make sure that everything is in-place for the kids.

In Spite of all of the above, I still have to be the Mommy my boys love to play with, the Mommy who makes them happy just by jumping around to the ‘Imagination Movers’ songs with them…

In Spite of being a completely soul-less Mommy yesterday, my subconsciousness still managed to slap me hard with a fabulous idea, “Get out of the house. Go see the Christmas Lightings at Orchard Road”

In Spite of forgetting to bring along the camera (which is so not-me), we had a great 2hours of being encompassed by dazzling Christmas decorations. (I swore I will bring my camera the next time I’m there which is probably in a few days time!)

Sometimes I’m really surprise by my own patience. In times when I SHOULD FLARE up, I don’t. Yet there are times I could have controlled myself and I can’t. How weird?!

In Spite of our (my Sis and I) disagreements in the past, she is still the ONLY angel who come to my rescue just before the awful day ended.

Friends in Facebook knows how grateful I am to my sis…. but I just wanna say again, “Thank you Sis! Without doing what you did, I won’t be able to type this post at all today.”

Today, I’m dishing out a different plate of goodies. A little ‘out of the ordinary’ stuff which you usually digest from this blog…. this is for all the wives and wives-to-be…. *wink* Got this email from a really close friend.

After 40 years of marriage a married couple in their early 60's were
celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little
restaurant. Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their
table.

She said, 'For being such an exemplary married couple and for being
loving  to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.

The Wife answered,'Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling
husband.'  The fairy waved her magic wand and - POOF! Two tickets for a
private jet to take them anywhere in the world, Passports and and
Reservations to the world's most lavish hotels in the world and the
number  of a Swiss Bank account with millions of dollars listed,
appeared in her hands.

The husband thought for a moment and said, 'Well, this is all very
romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come again. I'm sorry
my  love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me.'

The wife and the fairy were both deeply disappointed, but a wish is a
wish. So the fairy waved her magic wand and POOF!  The husband became
92 years old.

The moral of this story: Men who are ungrateful, should remember fairies
are female!!

HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEKEND GIRLS!!!
