My Children Lost the Chance to Appear in Magazine

Child

I have always wanted my boys to appear on TV or Magazines. I wanted them to be famous, in a way. Well, on TV they did ~ Playhouse Disney Birthday Book. *giggle*

But the chance to appear on Magazines never came until few months ago, when I had a surprise email from Canon PhotoYou, a photography magazine, she said:

“While doing research, I found the attached photo on your website, “All About Your Child”.

We are very interested in publishing it in our magazine, under the section “From Another Angle”, where we feature unique photos of tourist attractions around the world.”

So which photos were she talking about?

They were these photos from the blog post back in 19th December 2008Merlion – Singapore’s Icon

But the shots were taken back in 2008 and I had lost the original copies of them when my Personal Computer crashed on me in 2009. But we do print out our photos on photopapers all the time, see blog post “Kudos“.

So she suggested that I pass her the printed copies to see if the resolution was ‘good enough’ to be printed on their magazine.

Failed.

When she returned the photos back to me, she gave me a copy of the issue which my boys were supposed to be featured in:

My Children’s New Cravings

Child

All thanks to my sister for her birthday wish, my children have new cravings. This is my 4th visit to the shop in less than 2 months! We are nuts!

Though this is the 4th time we purchase their pastries, this is the First Time the kids get to see the shop. Previously, I had been the one going to the shop buying the delicious muffins, pies and puffs, while Allan and the children waited in the car.

Binbin is head over heals in love with their Chicken Pies.

While my 6 year old goes crazy over the peppery chicken pie above, Keatkeat is addicted to their Curry Puffs and Chocolate Muffins

Actually, Keatkeat surprised me. Yes, he does eat spicy food, but definitely not in that big quantity and yet not drink a sip of water. Pretty amazing what this Oven Marvel Curry Puff can do to my 7 year old! He just kept eating and eating!
