My Prayers Answered

Child, Health

Remember my “Worries Like None Other” post regarding Keatkeat’s sinus? Never did I expect God to answer my prayers in such a way….

The term 1 Teachers-Parents Meeting on Saturday was rewarding.

Not only did I confirm that Keatkeat’s “Dreamy and Slow” characteristics have not improved since Nursery and is now threatening his teacher’s patience….., but also found out the reason why the Chinese and Maths Tests were arranged on the Same day (read yesterday’s post).

Yet, NOTHING beats Seeing the wash basin IN THE CLASS which had Saved my boy’s nose so many times over the past 2 months.

Keatkeat did tell me about the basin a few days after school reopens. The instant relief from untying that dead knot was Awesome! Extremely grateful!

So all I want to say is “Thank You Dear Lord for keeping my boy in Your Good Hands.”

Funeral is ‘Fun’ for Kids

Child

My boys enjoyed the extra time they spent with their cousins, even though their “new playground” is = the Wake.

The kids loved their many ‘first time experiences’ over the past 5 days as everyone else mourned over the sudden death of Allan’s Auntie:

  1. First time being so near to a coffin.
  2. First time seeing a corpse.
  3. First time involved in a Wake.
  4. First time going through the chanting proceedings and activities
  5. First time having fun at a nearby playground for as long as they want.
  6. First time having a ten cent coin everyday, which was meant to be spent at the end of the day.
  7. First time having a red string tied around their finger everyday, which was meant to be thrown away at the end of the day.
  8. First time snacking so much that no one bothered to stop them.
  9. First time holding a joss stick for so long, their fingers turned pink!
  10. First time walking in a public area with just socks.
  11. First time using a portable metallic toilet, which they had problem flushing.
  12. First time circling and bowing so many times to a corpse, they thought they were going to do it forever.
  13. First time (Keatkeat) could not resist dancing to the beat of the chanting and ended up chanting it himself. *faint*

Yes, funeral was all good fun for the kids but extremely tiring for the adults….
