“Dearie, our baby is going Primary One!!! What an accomplishment!” was what I said to Allan when we completed the registration.
We fall into Phase 2A(2): For a child whose parent has studied in the school of choice.
When I was in the school for registration, I saw MY PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERs!!!! 2 of them! I remember one of them taught me English and Maths during Primary 1 and another taught me Science during Primary 4. Names? Errr… I’ve forgotten…. *Ooops!*
Keatkeat loved the school at first sight. All thanks to the Koi Fish pond. People have been throwing money into the pond like that of a wishing well. He even asked, “Mommy, can I go IN and picked the coins up? There are so many! I’m rich!” *laugh*
Love at first sight was a great start. Even the man who was doing the registration loved Keatkeat’s response when he asked, “So Cheng Keat, are you ready for school?” “I guess so.” tongue-in-cheek. He told us that most kids choose not to answer and stare blankly at him when he asked that question.
My boy was almost over the moon when he realised his school uniform is BLUE! > His favourite colour! He went “Yippee!” *laugh*
I think Keatkeat will fit in really well next year….*Grin*
