Mother’s Day 2012

Special Moments

This year, just like every other year, we celebrated Mother’s Day in my in-law’s place.

However, this year, we did not have a Mother’s Day dinner. We had a Mother’s Day MEGA DINNER FEAST! *faint*

At the end of it all, I looked like I was 4-5 months pregnant!!! *laugh*

Right after those plates and bowls were cleared.
THESE spiky green durians were placed on the table IMMEDIATELY!

THE ONLY CHILD, out of the six kids, who is interested in durian. Well, he DOES live up to his nickname ‘Fruit King’! *laugh*

Allan asked for a 15mins break before the NEXT FOOD comes onto the dining table. Well, everyone definitely need a small break from all the biting and chewing. We need time to digest!!! *laugh*

After 15mins was gone, oh man! Everyone was still very full, but we must have the cake cutting ceremony no matter what…..

This year, my 2nd SIL, with the help of her friend’s discount card, bought the famous Guanaja from Rive Gauche.

Ok, as mentioned in my previous post, the first few hours of Mother’s Day was indeed a happy one for me because of the my nieces’ sudden urge for a sleepover.

My wish of feeling like a Mother of 4 came true. Preparing 4 kids for bedtime was fun, especially when its my dream combination of two boys and two girls. *grin*

PhotobucketStill, I was pleasantly surprised and moved by the greeting from my eldest niece (who could not make it yesterday), when she arrived at my in-law’s place after us.

Chirpily, she came infront of me, squat down and called sweetly, “Omma!
*smile*
Read this post to find out why she calls me that: “Me? Omma?

Lovely gift from her, isn’t?

And when we went down to the playground for an hour of playtime, before the MEGA DINNER FEAST was served, my two elder nieces created a mini Mother’s Day bouquet for me.

Aaawwww…. so sweet!
*heart melted*

How was your 2012 Mother’s Day celebration? I had a blast! I hope you did too.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

First SleepOver…

Child

Nope!

Not my boys.

But for my two nieces! Yeah! *clap clap clap*

My MIL wanted to check out our temporary home and so they came in the afternoon. My nieces loved the place so much, they wanted to spend the night over here!

MIL kept finding excuses NOT to grant them their first sleepover, “Didn’t bring clothes, what are you going to wear?” “No toothbrush, how?” “Not enough pillows, what are you going to sleep on?”

Guess what?

I HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS TO THOSE!!!

*laugh*

But my words were still not powerful enough to make the old lady nod her head. *pout*

It took lots of persuasion from THIS PERSON before my MIL and BIL said “YES” to my nieces first sleepover.

Guess who was the one who did all the persuasion and negotiation successfully?

It was KEATKEAT!!! *laugh*

He was so good with coming up with all the reasoning and assuring words, before Binbin joined in to give the final push. *laugh* It was so funny to watch.

Having 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, have ALWAYS been my wish. But ever since I passed my 32nd birthday, I decided to close the production line and am happy with just two boys.

Right after dinner, we went shopping, came home and bathed. But feeling great to be a ‘mother of 4’, we decided to bring them out for a ‘supper adventure’ later. Whoo-hoo!

Hey! Exams are officially over for the 4 of them after yesterday, what better way to celebrate than making this sleepover super fun?!! *clap clap clap*
