So what if my child is a handicap!!!

Child, Parenting, Videos

Never let anyone look down on your child. Never let anyone thinks that their child is better than yours! Yes, I am a little hot today. I saw 2 parents comparing their children. Its just a silly thing to do, even if its so common. Oh if you really must, please….don’t do it infront of the kids; one of them didn’t even realise that her child was feeling inferior already, with chin completely down to her chest. None of them are handicap in case you relate it to my title.

What I want to stress is, every child is special, no one is better than no one else. Everyone is the same. When the parents themselves don’t look at their children as less than another kid, their children will never feel ashame of themselves and will strive for excellence in all that they do now and in the future.

If these 2 people who were born handicaps could do something this great shown in the video below, you know its the power of the parents’ teaching. Most of the time, people with handicaps, who were NEVER taught to FEEL ANY WORSE-OFF than normal humans, can do one thing that most normal people with 2 arms and 2 legs can’t do, that is – TOUCH THE HEARTS of EVERYONE who is WATCHING…..

Labour Day

Child, Parenting

Since today is known as Labour Day. So here I am labouring my fingers away on the keyboard. I noticed I haven’t been writing Articles for a really long time. I guess that icon on the top right of my blog may not be so appropriate now ya? ….till I get back my momentum…. again.

By the way, today is also a day for me to celebrate! I’ve met the dateline for my data entries to be handed in. So my sister calculated my earnings, I can be really lousy when it comes to calculating hours and minutes. Total $843.75 for 112hours 30mins.

Little considering the stress it put me through, the time it took me away from my kids, the hurt I inflicted on them whenever I said “No” to their ever pleading “Mommy, can you play with me now? Mommy can you stop work now and play with me…”

So I am gonna pamper them a little when the money start to come in 1-2 weeks later (I hope), more like a make-it-up-to-them for surviving that 1 month of ‘less-mommy’ days. Of cos’ bills and debts are always first priority but I will, I promise, to set aside….hmmmm….$100 for them. How’s that? Not for toys of cos’, I am never a buy-toys-kind-of Mommy. They have ample contributors to their ever growing pile of toys and they do know that Mommy does not equal to toys. Somehow over the short years they have rooted this fact into their young brains.

Will decide what to do with the S$100 when it gets banked into my account….but I guess, what they really want is time with Me (so thick-skinned), so I am gonna give them that for sure – My time. The cash would be a bonus for them, go some place fun, go eat unhealthy-but-kids-are-crazy-over-with food, whatever, so long as they are happy. No more rushing to meet-the-datelines, no more Glandular Fever, no more Hives……Can you ‘see’ that I am finally smiling?
