Just the other day, my boys were talking about their 1 day pet ‘pretty birdie’. She was found crippled on the window grill in my in-law’s house. She was still pretty much alive then. Just not very agile due to the injury. I remember going around the neighbourhood to look for birdhouses and birdfood for her. Yet, the next day, my mother-in-law called and said that she had passed away.
