My niece had her very first cell phone when she was 8 years old. Is it really necessary? That was what my 6 year old son asked me. I said no and explained that it is better labelled as a waste of money because no cell phones are allowed in school. So the chance of using it is almost zero. I told my boy exactly how I felt, but my hubby stopped me and said that my kid might go and tell my BIL. To me, what’s wrong with even that! If I dare to say, I’m not afraid that he will know. Buying cell phones for such a small kid IS a waste of money.
