If it had not been for my FIL’s impulsiveness today, the memory of having durian feast with them might be lost forever.

When Allan and I were still dating more than a decade ago, I remember something really weird about his family. They were durian fanatic! That’s what I called them then. They would have durians as a MEAL! Normally it would be DINNER. 30-35 durians were shared between the 8 of us. And such Durian Dinner can happen 3-5 times a month during the durian season. *faint*

I still remember telling Allan, “You are lucky to find a girlfriend who likes durian.” *laugh*

Ever since my MIL and FIL fell really sick almost 5-6 years ago, this madness had stopped completely. I’m glad it came back again with 2 new additions to the durian-fanatic-family: Binbin and my youngest niece-M.Y. But because this time it wasn’t for a MEAL, the quantity dropped to just 11, but everyone enjoyed the slurping moment. It really feels like the good old days were back. *smile*
