F1 2008 in Singapore

Child, Videos

The inaugural 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix will take place on 28 September 2008 on a street circuit of public roads around the Marina Bay area. The race is Formula One™’s first to be held at night, and is their first street race in Asia.

Here’s a glimpse of how it would look like when the speedy vehicles are on the Singapore Circuit:

My boys were so UPSET, seriously upset that we didn’t get tickets for the race, well it was sold out so long ago and we didn’t planned to buy it anyway. Then we came to know that there will be a ‘live’ telecast shown on one of the PAID channels on SCV and we didn’t subscribed to that either, so they were angry AGAIN.

This is how crazy they are over cars. Whenever there is F1 racing shown on TV, they are glued to it from beginning till end. Seeing the cars going round and round for so many times, going into the pit stop, getting out, colliding and all of those would never fail to stick their little butt on that sofa.

So Allan and I went for a drive round the circuit before the road closure to ‘see’ where we could have stand in order to get a glimpse of the excitement ‘live’….We found lots of ‘opportunities’ but they were unsuitable for the kids, ‘cos the fences are so high, Allan’s and my arm would probably be broken by the end of the race, carrying them, hmmmm….so we dropped the idea altogether.

Guess they’ll just have to make do with their hot wheels cars racing on their miniature race track at home then…..

(Add-on: Today – 26th Sept)

But hey hey hey, I just found out that the one and only night F1 race is shown on Channel 5 for 3 days starting from today…
Today 26th: 10pm-11pm Practise Session
Tomorrow 27th: 10pm-11pm Qualifying Session
Sunday 28th: 7.30pm-10pm “Live”

Yeah!!!! So my boys are FINALLY happy now! *wink*

Happy Birthday to me!

Special Moments, Videos

Ok, so I’m officially 31 now!
Hmmm…not much accomplishment but over 30 years, I’ve ‘toughen up’, I’ve received more blessings than I’ve asked for and I’m definitely a happier person!
*Yeah! to all of that*

Like I’ve mentioned in my previous post, when the clock striked 12, the party began!

Tip of the day: Don’t be in any photos if your hair is still wet! Look how ‘messily-wet’ my hair is! *Urgghhh*

And Binbin loves Chocolate AS MUCH AS his mommy does! *laugh*

Then here comes the presents for this year!

A Bonia wallet from 3 friends. They gave me a treat to a sumptuous dinner of my choice – ‘Brazil’ was the name of the restaurant. Meat buffet – I’m a carnivore you know? *wink* We have been friends for 18years and I love all 3 of them very much. Hey, not because of the present and dinner of cos’!

Then my soul-mate crocheted this handphone pouch for me. She’s a girl ok? How come some people tell me that ‘soul-mates’ refer to opposite sex ONLY? Hmmm….

This was what my little 3 year old Binbin chose for me!
My favourite Little Twin Stars! Its a retractable fan!
Thank you Binbin! Mommy love it – anything that’s Little Twin Stars…

These were from my little 4 year old Keatkeat. Little Twin Stars travelling cushion pillow and a card.

He drew me (the bigger stick-person) and him in the house, eating an apple. Huge Apple!!! Look at the size! Its as BIG as my head!

We are having the apple-feast at night obviously, cos’ you can see the clouds together with the crescent moon.

Then these are from my dear little sis. Its a Puma bag (loved the size of it) and my lucky yellow blouse.

She tried 5 different blouses before she finally decided on this one. Why 5? cos she had to make sure that my ‘big’ tummy can fit into them…*laugh* All the other 4 were just-nice for her (she has a much smaller tummy than mine), so she knew that I’ll be in trouble if I wear those…*laugh* This was the only one that was ‘loose’ at the tummy-area.

Oh… I’m 31 now, a little tummy is acceptable ya? Though I still do 25 sit-ups every now and then, my tummy just would not go away, so as to remind me that I was pregnant twice.

Then comes the big surprise of the night. Allan bought me a birthday present! Its been years since he last bought me a birthday present. Serious! He usually brings me out for a nice dinner and THAT would be my birthday present.
This year, he bought me 2 t-shirt blouses from Levis! I loved them! The material is so soft, just like the one my sis bought for me…Mmmmm…love it!

And here’s the birthday song sung by my boys…errr…no actually, Binbin was quiet throughout the song, he was too eager to blow the candles and cut the cake…so only Allan and Keatkeat sang for me….*laugh*
