Feast of love

Parenting

After yesterday’s post, I guess I’ve got to introduce my boys in this way:

My babies wanted to make their sick mommy happier.

I’ve been having diarrhea and tummy upset for past few days PLUS its RED week;

the lack of blood leave me feeling weak and having lots of tweety birds flying around my head…

My babies decided to ‘borrow’ their Ah Yee’s (‘auntie’ – my sis) barbie kitchen set to whip up a feast for me…

“Let’s cook something nice for mommy”

“Ok, let’s begin!…. Mommy, why don’t you go bathe…. we want to give you a surprise…. the food will be ready when you are ‘xiang xiang’ (smelling nice)…”

Me: “Ok, babies… I’m ‘xiang xiang’ already… is my food ready?”

Babies: “Yes!”

There’s pizza, bananas, green pepper, cabbage, sweet corn, watermelon and one whole chicken sitting on the top right and lots of juicies too….

Come join me wouldn’t you? *wink* …..

Too much for my weak stomach…. *laugh*

Baby baby

Child, Toddler

Lately my kids no longer say,

“I want to eat a lot so that I can grow up fast and be an adult…”

“I want to grow fast to be as tall as Papa…”

“I want to eat chili then I can be an adult…”

“I want to be an adult so that I can be smart and clever….”

“I want to be an adult so that I can earn a lot of money and can buy blah blah blah….”

Lately such sentences has changed to,

“Mommy, you have to call me BABY! Don’t call my name….”

“Mommy, noooo….you have to say “Yes? Baby…” …..”

“Mommy, nooooo…..you have to say “I love you Baby“…..”

“Mommy, noooo….you have to say “Good Baby, not Good Keatkeat or (Binbin will say- not Good Binbin)”

“Mommy, I want you to carry me like a baby and sing (singing the song) rock-a-bye baby on the tree top… when the wind blow… that one…I want you to sing that”

And now when I call them Binbin Baby or Keatkeat Baby, they will reply like this…

“Ngiah…ngiah..” You know! Those baby language!!!!

*Eyes rolled*

Me: “Binbin Baby, why do you like me to call you ‘Baby’?”

Binbin: *Shrugged his shoulders* “Ngiah…ngiah…”

Me: “Keatkeat Baby, why do you want me to call you ‘Baby’?”

Keatkeat: “I like the word ‘Baby‘ (and he said ‘Bab-by’ in the most beautiful and sweetest tone ever)…very nice…I like… But don’t call me ‘Baby’ when I am 20 years old ah! That time you have to call me Adult-Baby…”

*Faint*

I guess by then, his girlfriend would be calling him ‘Baby‘, instead of good-old-mommy me. *wink*
