*Deep Breath*

I’m pretty pissed today. Nothing to do with the kids, but everything to do with Singapore Post.

There were orders for the piggy banks (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, go see here). The kind-hearted people prefer to have the piggy banks mailed to them, instead of meeting up with me.

So I went down to find out the postage rates. The staff at Singapore Post told me it cost $3.74 and so I told my ‘potential buyers’. I was curious why there were hardly any response after I told them the rates.

After receiving a payment (finally), I brought the ‘Talking Pink Piggy’ down to Sing-Post to be delivered and only to discover that the postage only cost S$1.50 !!!!

It was a difference of $2.24. Questions were popping in my head:

“Oh my, maybe that’s why no one responded after I told them the postage rate? Because it was way too high. They might have thought I might be a $2.24 money swindler !”

“Oh dear! Now I’ve got to send the difference of $2.24 back to the buyer for today’s order fast! I don’t have her bank account number so I have to send her an email a.s.a.p. But will she check her mail today? cos’ sometimes she doesn’t. What if the item reaches her first before she reads my email and saw that the postage is actually $1.50, then she would think that I was dishonest too.”

I was pissed and nervous.

But I guess, I over-think sometimes. She was so nice, she told me to keep the difference and use it to buy sweets for the kids. (too bad, she doesn’t have a blog, can’t link her here) Thank you, thank you!

I didn’t buy sweets for them, but I gave them the money. Guess what? They chose to put it inside their piggy banks. *wink*
