1st Week of June Holidays

Places Kids Love

*Scream*

Soooooooo many things have happened, to me and the kids, during the 1st 7days of the 30days long School Holidays.

First week was packed with visits from relatives and friends. Shopping and Playing OUT of the house. Exploring new places and uplifting the kids’ spirit with one-of-a-kind exhibitions. Waking up later than school days, at 9am, 10am or even 11am+, the boys wake up chirpy like tweety birds, all ready to go go go every day. And so we did, out of the 4 walls EVERY single day.

aFor this post, I have decided to be stingy and just post the biggest highlight for last week. It happened on Sunday, after lunch at my in-law’s, we thought it would be greater fun to bring along more kids than just the 2 boys all the time. And we went with our hearts’ desire. We brought the kids, EXCEPT the eldest kid who was ‘forced’ to go for swimming lessons and the youngest who was still napping, to the last day of the Dino Exhibition in Plaza Singapura.

The dino below was their favourite. All because of the seemingly-still-alive fish in its mouth, ‘wriggling’ occasionally as if to escape from the sharp teeth of that green Baryonyx. So maybe it was the rubber FISH that was more amusing than the dino. *laugh*

Booklet on dinos, with stickers and simple craftworks inside, were given freely at the site. So we took 5, one for my eldest niece, who did not have the freedom of choice between her swimming lessons and having fun with us. *sigh*

East Coast Park

Places Kids Love

1aThough going to East Coast Park from my home is almost like going from one end of Singapore to another, yet we are ‘regulars’ there. I just love being near to the sea. Maybe I was a Mermaid in my previous life. *Laugh* Nah…I don’t believe in that.

I have lots of FUNNY photos to show from past visits, but not going to do that today. Just want to focus on what happened today.

When simple filling up the pail or mold with sand is not exciting enough. They decided to flip the game and fill themselves with sand.

With little hands, that was all they could do. So Big-Kid Papa came along and made their dream come true. The trio started to dig deeper and bigger till both of them were half buried in the sand while they were STANDING.

Here comes the sand!

“More More….” They wanted the sand to cover their waist. And so their Papa granted their wish again. Pushed more sand all the way up to their waists.

They were extremely satisfied with their ‘convertible’ and with Binbin holding his steering wheel and going ‘beep beep’ as he drove, the passenger behind got cheeky (again).

Saw Binbin’s angry face?! Noticed Keatkeat’s sneaky look?! Saw the amount of sand on the driver’s shoulders?! Noticed the passenger trying to hide his evidence behind his back?!

1kFor your info, he did it from HEAD DOWN!

And this picture was taken because my hand needed a rest from the non-stop-5mins of brushing off the sand.

It took another 2-3mins before I declared Binbin’s head “sand-free”.

Interested to know how they got out from the mini-trench? Watch the video below. All the giggling were from Keatkeat, he sounded so much like a girl, didn’t he? *laugh*
