Kids Talk – Late

kids talk

One month ago, I was so busy with the Chinese New Year preparation, I lost track of time and was almost 20mins late to fetch Binbin from school.

I ran all the way to his school, which was about 2mins walking distance from my house. So I probably reached there in less than 30seconds. *laugh* Panting like crazy, I arrived at his classroom. Looking at his teacher, then at my 5 year old, “Sorry. *pant* Sorry. I am so late today. *pant*

Binbin stood up from his chair and said sternly, “Mommy! Why So Late?!”

“I am so sorry dear. Mommy lost track of time. So sorry…” The guilt was killing me as I pulled his head close to my tummy.

“Mommy! I like!” my boy looked up to my perspiration-dripping face.

Me: “Huh?”

Binbin: “I like you to be so late! ‘Cos I can chit chat with all my teachers and help them to pack toys. Next time come so late ok?”

*Faint*

=====================

Today I took my own sweet time and was late for 5mins on purpose.

When I reached the doorstep of his school, looking at his smiling face, I asked, “Is this late enough?”

Binbin: “Yes! I am the second last one to leave. I like! I want you to come this late EVERY time. I don’t want to be the third last one to leave. I want to be the second last one to leave.”

*Super Faint*

Kids Talk – Four Arms

kids talk

I was telling Allan how horrible my nose was since young, till I had the nose operation at the age of 16. My sinusitis was a killer before that.

I could leave a house without my comb, but NEVER without packetS of tissue papers. I still remember I had once brought a tissue box to school and was suspected of cheating during an examination. The teacher was afraid I would write the answers in the tissue box. *eyes rolled*

When the story was done, Keatkeat, who was sitting at the back seat of the car, remarked: “No wonder I am always sneezing. Because of you!”

Oh well, there is a possibility there, I do not deny. So I kept quiet.

But he went further, “Because I am your first child, so I am the leader, so I get all the bad things from you….”

This was when Allan could not stand it and interrupted, “Why only the bad things? What about the good? Mommy is so smart, do things so fast and can even do many things at one time. How come you are not any of that?”

“Because I do not have four arms! So I cannot do things very fast!” Keatkeat snapped.

We burst into laughter and said together:
Allan: “Mommy does not have four arms!”
Me: “I do not have four arms!”

“Because I am a kid. Adults are smarter. So when I grow up I will have all the good things of Mommy.” Keatkeat argued.

“Including four arms?!” I laughed.

Keatkeat: “When I become an adult, I will do many things at the same time as if I have four arms.”

*Huge Laugh*

Kids Talk – You Are Well

kids talk

Me: “Binbin stay away from me. Doctor said I cannot be too near to my kids. The virus might spread to you.”

Keatkeat: “Mommy, I think you are well already. Because you got energy to scold me just now when I don’t want to eat my porridge. Can scold means you are well already.”

Binbin: “Ya lor, scold so loud some more.”

kids talk

Keatkeat: “Mommy, why is my brain full of metal fight beyblade?”

Me: “Because you love metal fight beyblade. Whatever you love, your brain will keep thinking of it. I wonder when will your brain be full of Mommy.”

Binbin: “Mommy, my brain is full of you and me. You know what are we doing?”

Me: “Playing?”

Binbin: “No. We are marrying. I am driving the wedding car with lots of flowers. Then I will hang a ‘Just Married’ board behind the car. I put ALOT of flowers on the car to decorate so it looks pretty. You like?”

Me: *Huge Laugh*

Kid’s Talk – Maths Everywhere

kids talk

Keatkeat loves Mathematics. No matter how careless he can be or how lazy he is to do working for his problem sums, he still love Maths…… love Maths to a pretty extreme level…..

Keatkeat: “Mommy! Look! 3 PLUS 4 EQUALS 7!”

Me: “Huh?” I followed his finger direction but could not quite get it….

Keatkeat: “Mommy! And if you see the other way, 7 MINUS 4 EQUALS 3!”

I turned around and looked again…

and THIS was what I saw!

A number on a Block of Flats.

A number on a Block of Flats.

*faint*

It was past 10pm when this was taken and it was way up…. my phone camera flash could not do a better job. *eyes rolled*
