Happy Mother’s Day 2011
ParentingThis year’s Mother’s Day is unlike any other. There were ups and downs. But I am thankful that I made the right decision today to take action to make things right. Anyhow, all bad things have ended well, so I am not going to talk about what made it so terrible. But this year, because of this unhappiness, its definitely a memorable Mother’s Day for me.
This was what I gave my MIL this year:
Although she kept saying that its a waste of money and that I should use the money spent on the flowers to buy yummy food instead, she was grinning from cheek to cheek when I appeared with the Huge Bouquet of Flowers in front of her door.
That is all I want to see. A big smile from her. Nothing else matters.
Other than the big bouquet, Allan and I gave her a Big Ang Pao too for her to buy ‘sweets’. *giggle* With these two presents, all unhappiness were gone. Yeah! *clap clap clap*
My boys gave her and I One Carnation each. My boys, especially Keatkeat, will always remember that my MIL took care of them during the day time, when I was still working in my retail business.
My niece was so sweet! She gave me a card and a lovely handphone pouch today too! *smile* Because of our Zodiac signs and our similar personalities, I do feel like she is my daughter in many occasions. Thank you ZY! *hugs*
But the child who is VERY INTO Mother’s Day was Binbin!
He started making Mother’s Day presents for me since Thursday! So I had presents on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
THURSDAY~ The funniest! He ‘forced’ his dad to bring him downstairs, so that he could drop the envelope with 2 drawings in it, WITH ME SITTING BESIDE HIM.
He even turned towards me and said, “Mommy, you cannot go down, because it is a surprise for you!”
*Huge Laugh* Is that still a surprise???!!!!
When he came back up with his Papa, he told me, “Mommy, there is a letter in the letterbox for you. You can go down and take now.”
*Double Huge Laugh*
FRIDAY ~ He made super small green booklets filled with pages of me, him and heart shapes.
SATURDAY ~ I received a postcard which was mailed out by him when he visited the Singapore Philatelic Museum on Monday.
I am a happy Mother, a happy Auntie and a happy DIL today!
Did you have a great time celebrating Mother’s Day today? I sure did!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all!
