Good News Poured in One After Another….

Child

17th May is indeed a very lucky day for this family. Lots of Good News poured in, one after another. Showers of Blessings soaking us through…. *giggle*

There are blessings which benefited the kids and there are those which benefited their parents. To read the list of good news which made Allan and I grinned from cheek to cheek, check out this post “Good News Pouring In Like Fountain

Ok, so what’s in for my kids?

First, it was confirmed today that their FREE nature park adventure in Pulau Ubin is on!  They are DEFINITELY going to accumulate MORE ‘first times’ in this adventure trip. *thumbs up*

PhotobucketSecond, BinBin’s stubborn shaky tooth FINALLY dropped and he could eat without having tears at the corners of his eyes today.

Yeah! *clap clap clap* It had been a few torturous weeks for this little fellow.

And then there were two…. read his first tooth-drop experience here “Tooth Fairy Visited Binbin For the First Time

Third, Keatkeat’s distorted spine is NOT Scoliosis! Yeah!
Read the details here “So Is It Scoliosis?

Fourth, though I had said before that habits die hard and bad habits die harder, this second Chiropractor actually managed to make Keatkeat stop one of his bad habits with just a few sentences of warning when we went to see him on Monday, 14th May 2012! Whoo-hoo!

That bad habit was cracking his back. Whenever Keatkeat sits for more than 30mins or before he goes to bed, he would crack his back. Ever since the doctor gave him some warnings, my boy had not cracked his back for 3 days! Yeah!

Fifth, we went to see the Female Chinese Chiropractor for the third time yesterday. This time, she could tell that Keatkeat was going to have a temperature and cough soon and she added one more medication to the usual bottle liquid. This time it was powder.

We were told to mix the powder with the liquid before Keatkeat drink it. We started this new medication this morning. This round, it worked wonderfully! Keatkeat only took two dosages and he was able to poo! Yeah!

The previous round, without the powder, he had to take 4 dosages or more before he could ‘perform‘ in the toilet. 2 dosage a day. Well, its definitely better than BEFORE we went to her. Keatkeat used to poo ONCE a week! *eyes rolled*

Sixth, as the second Chiropractor’s fees are reasonable, we were able to afford for two doctors to attend to Keatkeat’s different health issues, hence we are spared from any dilemma. *thumbs up*

Seventh, finally! I can say that Keatkeat and Binbin is on their way to recovery! *Super Clap Clap Clap*

Keatkeat has been coughing for almost 3 weeks and poor Binbin for almost 7 weeks. Yesterday, I saw that their coughing frequency has reduced and so I stopped their cough medication for one day and whoo-hoo, their cough did not aggravate!

I am a happy Mummy indeed!

Therefore with the list here and the list over at my personal blog, can you imagine how hyper everyone was throughout the day?! *laugh* It was Awesome!

*clap clap clap*

First SleepOver…

Child

Nope!

Not my boys.

But for my two nieces! Yeah! *clap clap clap*

Photobucket

My MIL wanted to check out our temporary home and so they came in the afternoon. My nieces loved the place so much, they wanted to spend the night over here!

MIL kept finding excuses NOT to grant them their first sleepover, “Didn’t bring clothes, what are you going to wear?” “No toothbrush, how?” “Not enough pillows, what are you going to sleep on?”

Guess what?

I HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS TO THOSE!!!

*laugh*

But my words were still not powerful enough to make the old lady nod her head. *pout*

It took lots of persuasion from THIS PERSON before my MIL and BIL said “YES” to my nieces first sleepover.

Guess who was the one who did all the persuasion and negotiation successfully?

It was KEATKEAT!!! *laugh*

He was so good with coming up with all the reasoning and assuring words, before Binbin joined in to give the final push. *laugh* It was so funny to watch.

Having 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, have ALWAYS been my wish. But ever since I passed my 32nd birthday, I decided to close the production line and am happy with just two boys.

Right after dinner, we went shopping, came home and bathed. But feeling great to be a ‘mother of 4′, we decided to bring them out for a ‘supper adventure’ later. Whoo-hoo!

Hey! Exams are officially over for the 4 of them after yesterday, what better way to celebrate than making this sleepover super fun?!! *clap clap clap*

He Followed for the Very First Time!

Child

Usually when Allan and I had to run some errands during our Sunday visit to my in-law’s place, my nieces would want to come along and my nephew would always shake his head.

Today, for the very first time my nephew wanted to follow and my nieces did not. What a change! Probably because it was drizzling. *shrugged*

So Binbin, with overflowing brotherly love for W.D., kept holding W.D.’s hand, shuffling W.D.’s hair, patting W.D.’s head and constantly reminding him to be careful not to slip and fall or step on puddles of water. It was such a heartwarming moment to watch.

*smile*

Children can Handle Critics Better than Adults

Child

Keatkeat, you make Mummy so proud….

Yesterday, Keatkeat with his friend were doing a demonstration infront of a small crowd. I was not there. Only Binbin was with him.

The audience were already booing and saying nasty things like (according to Keatkeat and Binbin), “They are cheating. This is not real.” BEFORE Keatkeat and his friend even started doing anything.

The teacher said, “Can we discuss this later? Let the kids finish what they need to do first?”

Keatkeat was still pissed when we went to fetch them. After talking about what happened for about 10mins in the car ride, he ended with this sentence, “I want to be happy. I shall not be bothered by them. Just let them say what they want.”

*clap clap clap*

Isn’t it amazing when such sentences come out from a 9 year old boy?

Allan and I kept giving him hugs. In times like these, hugs speak louder than words of praise.

=====

10.45pm After Keatkeat was asleep, I chatted with Binbin…

Binbin said, “GorGor frowned angrily at the audience. He was 100% times 100% times 100% pissed off with them.”

Me: “Did Gorgor scold them?”

Binbin said, “Cannot lah! How can children scold adult?!” He paused for awhile and then continued, “But because they kept saying all the nasty things, Gorgor lost concentration and did not do something correctly and they booed him.”

Me: “Then how did Gorgor react?”

Binbin said, “He take deep breaths and do it again lor. Then do correctly the second time.”

====

Keatkeat, till this day, is still a challenge for me. His personality, his character, his attitude, his mannerism, etc, it is just so NOT in-line with the rest of the family.

Yet, on rare occasions, like this, he still proves that he is still a Warrior!

My Macho ‘Man’

Child

PhotobucketYes! I dare say after this day, we are half way through.

The things yet to pack are those that we still need during our daily life. So they will be left untouched till the last couple of days before we move out of this house.

This will be our LAST removal before our next pack up next month.

So what did we remove this time? My bed frame.

Photobucket

This is the second time we are dismantling it and third time fixing it. First time was when I moved out of my in-law’s place, almost 7 years ago.

All the knockings and screwing have worn out some part of the wood. So we will be saying goodbye to our wedding bed and getting a new bed as our 13th Wedding Anniversary (in May) gift for the two of us.

So till the new bed arrives, we are sleeping on the floor. Not literally of ‘cos! On our mattress placed on the floor. *giggle*

Photobucket

Keatkeat was a great helper and he is my little Macho ‘Man’.

No one taught him to carry the planks in that position. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised that he was so smart to use his back to lift the planks off from the ground. *Super thumbs up*
