After school on Friday 3rd July 2009….

When I told my boys that I had to go to the hospital and they were NOT coming along….

Keatkeat: “Mommy, really very pain?” Stroking my tummy. “Doctor will look after you, don’t be scared.”

“Thank you Keatkeat. Be an obedient boy at MaMa’s (MIL) house ok?”

Binbin: Tears welled up, gave me a huge hug, “Mommy, don’t want! Don’t go hospital. At night I need you to sleep beside me, if not I cannot sleep.”

“Binbin, don’t worry, I should be back at night. I don’t think Mommy’s tummy pain is that serious. So I don’t think I’ll be sleeping in hospital.” (*sigh* In the end it was 5 days, 4 nights!)

According to my MIL, ZY-my elder niece put up a ‘fight‘ with her because she was not allowed to visit me in the hospital. Allan witnessed the scene and told me it was true. My heart sank.

Saturday 4th July 2009 at 10pm+, the kids called me because they were not allowed to visit me in the hospital. All thanks to H1N1. Only 8 registered visitors were allowed and no kids under 12years old, throughout the stay .

Binbin: “MOMMY…. *wailed* why *sob* are you not *sob sob* home yet? *wailed louder*….”

(Allan at the background “You wanna cry, then don’t talk to Mommy, like that you make Mommy very sad. Pass the phone to Gorgor (brother)”)

Keatkeat: “Mommy, I’m very happy today. Because BakBak (Allan’s eldest bro) bring us to the place we ride motorbike. But motorbike spoiled. So we ride bicycle. Then got see helicopter with Singapore flag fly pass and got very fast airplane fly past. Waaahhhh very noisy ah!…. Are you better now? Did the doctor CUT OPEN your tummy and take out the pain?”

“No dear. I am happy that you are happy. Any other thing you want to tell me?”

Keatkeat: “I love you Mommy. I miss you, but not like Binbin, cry cry cry. He missed you very much, you know?”

“Yes, me too. You go hug him ok? Tell him Mommy will come back soon. I love you too, Baby”

Allan took over the phone and told me that he will NOT be passing it back to Binbin, who is cooling down, and so ended the only phone call from them during my stay.
