Happy Valentines’ Day
Special Moments February 14th, 2008When you have kids, changes big or small do happen to the couple, don’t they? Celebrating Valentine’s Day? Its a thing of the past for Allan and I. I do not have a romantic husband anyway, so it makes no difference to me if we celebrated this day or not.
I still remember the 2nd Valentines’ Day we had together as an unmarried couple. 2 days before the day when practically every girl would have a bouquet of flowers in her hands, he asked me, “What would you like on Valentines’ Day?” “I like suprises, so don’t ask me this question. You decide.”
He decided indeed! Guess what was my suprise present? NOTHING! Throughout the day we spent together, watching movie, eating at a fancy restaurant, I was still imagining what was the big suprise he had installed for me. As the hours pass, the suspense was killing me. When he sent me home, every part of me was prepared for the big suprise. But he just kissed me and say ‘Goodnight’.
Damn! I was pissed! I asked him in total disbelieve, “Where is my Valentines’ Day present?!” Knowing that I was angry, he said in a ‘don’t-blame-me’ kind of voice, “You said you wanted suprises, I know you will be expecting a present, so by NOT giving anything would be the biggest suprise, wouldn’t it?”
Arrgggh! I was so angry! How could he be so…..arrrgh!
*Sigh* love is blind afterall, isn’t it? Well, I still marry him and gave him two smart boys.

Hey! Nothing is NOT a good present!
Brussel sprouts aren’t anything like bean sprouts – they look like little cabbages and they taste like bitter cabbage, too.

That’s right! ‘Nothing’ is NOT a good present at all!
Thanks for clearing my doubts on the vege.
