I want too
Child, Parenting, Toddler April 13th, 2008When I was hanging out the laundry today, I saw this :
My neighbour staying below my unit, was sun-bathing her daughter’s Winnie the Pooh Bear. Something so cute dangling 9 storey high, must be quite scary for that huggable.
Carried my 3-year-old to see this uncommon sight.
“Mommy, why got Winnie the Pooh there?”
“He is sun-bathing.”
“Why?”
“Maybe he just bathed.”
“I want to bathe my bear-bear too. Then I can hang bear-bear out sun-bathing too.”
Wriggled down and ran to the room, took his white bear, dump it into the basin and turned on the tap. In less than 2 seconds, “Ok! Hang bear-bear out.”
And so I did as I was commanded. Almost at that very moment my hands left his bear, Binbin said, “Bear-bear very scared.”
“You want bear-bear to come in?”
“Mm.” Nodding vigorously.
Took the bear in and handed it to it’s owner, who hug it a little and frown, “But he very wet! Hang him out again.”
“But you said he is very scared, right?”
“Nevermind, he so wet, he can’t sleep with me. Hang him out. HUmph!” Crossed his arms and stomped out of the kitchen, as if to avoid hearing the plea from the bear ‘don’t hang me out, don’t hang me out….’
Its amazing how he can make decision logically more than emotionally nowadays….I love handling 3 years-old, their characteristics are just so fun.

OH, I love this with the stuffies hanging so high up, moving gently in the breeze and it is great to see a view from your place. This goes a long way to knowing where you are at. Why the Singapore question? I guess because I got linked to you through becky who lives about 4 streets away from me. Being so readily linked to people throughout the world makes them seem like neighbours. And then when I read the Singapore connection I was floored. I wonder what the official language is in Singapore as you are so fluent in
English. I had the opportunity to travel in Asia a few years ago but never managed to get to Singapore. I travelled to S. Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and lived in Taiwan for a couple years. I’m finding this an honour to meet you and learn about your family half a world away. I’m glad you wrote me today as I have missed checking in here the last few days. take care and I’ll come back tomorrow to read up on your weekend of illness and all. Thanks, erin.

my English fluent…geezzz…I’m blushing…English is a must for all Singaporeans, its the first language we learn. Sometimes I am ashamed of my command of English…it may even be hard for some bloggers to read [I think]
so you seeing a yellow-faced chinese like me and my boys are nothing new to you then…you make me feel so much closer to you….
