What better way to start the first day of the one-month long School Holidays, than to head off to the F1 track for the Singapore Army Open House @Our City 2012.

It was a last minute decision. Allan went ahead to his client’s house, while my boys and I headed for the Army Open House 2012 beside the Singapore Flyer.

It was almost 3pm when we reached there, after buying my lunch, which ended up being chomped down by my two little gluttony-monsters, we were just in time for the show at 4pm. Entry into the Army Open House show venue began at 3pm.

We had great seats. Right in the middle section, 5th row. However, our excitement died when the announcer said that the show must be delayed for 30mins and the parachute heros of Singapore: the Red Lions’s performance had to be cancelled due to bad weather. *pout*

So, instead of leaving our good seats, we decided to stick our butt on our chairs for a good 1 hour and 10mins.

The boys AMAZED me with their level of patience once again! Its definitely a new record high for sitting AND waiting, at the outdoors, with light drizzle! No complains whatsoever! *clap clap clap*

Too bad, Allan was not there to witness it!

Still, it was a very trilling performance with everyone’s head was moving left and right and cameras going snap snap snap the whole time. *laugh* There were  just too many things to watch at the same time!

After the show, Keatkeat went camera-crazy and wanted to take photos with every vehicles that was on the Army Open House show! “Mummy, take photo with this one! Mummy, that one too!”

I did not post all photos here, in case it takes too long for my blog to load. *bleh* All photos are uploaded on my Facebook though. Go see!

After the show, Allan joined us. It was already past 5pm. It was THEN, that the whole family headed for the REAL adventure!

The signboard which showed the approximate waiting time (1.5hrs) almost ‘tricked‘ us! We chose the one which has the highest ‘turnover rate‘ and it was a short 5 mins wait in the queue before my boys get their hands on a REAL Rifle!

And not forgetting food!
Binbin was so funny!
He struck a pose when he started eating, as if saying, “You must take a shot of us eating too!”
And so I did.
*giggle*

And we ended the day at the Army Open House with a sky full of fireworks! *smile*

In my opinion, Keatkeat and Binbin enjoyed themselves more at the Army Open House @ our City 2012 than a few years ago, when we went for the Navy Open House with my in-laws, simply because they ‘know‘ what’s going on this time…

*wink*

Were you there too?
