Sentosa – Underwater World Singapore
Places Kids Love December 10th, 2012
Kitkit finally fulfilled his final birthday wish on 4th December 2012, more than a month after his birthday. Remember his birthday post? “Kitkit’s 9th birthday celebrationssssssss” Yup, this is his post-birthday celebration which we had prepared 2 months ago.
We knew about the opening of the Marine Life Park, the world’s largest oceanarium, but the entry price frightened us off. So we did not tell the birthday boy about this other choice and stuck to his original plan of going to the Underwater World Singapore.
The last time we brought the kids there was many years ago. Binbin was still wobbling around and Kitkit was still babbling away.
IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY back then!!!! Spent almost S$100 on 4 tickets and we could NOT even proceed beyond 20 steps after we passed the entrance!
*Faint*
Kitkit’s lungs could have exploded if we had insisted to move further.
He was screaming like crazy!!!!
Kitkit was so afraid of the place that even in Allan’s mighty arms, he still felt insecure; and kept shaking his head and clinging onto Allan for dear life!
I do not know what exactly he was afraid of.
Maybe it was the darkness.
I had no idea!
There was no way we could get him to cool down to tell us.
He kept pointing at the exit.
He JUST WANTED TO GET OUT of the place!!!
We did not want to force the toddler further, so we had to turn around and head straight to the exit.
Almost 5 years later, it was this same frightened toddler’s birthday wish to venture HIS terrifying place once more.
My boy in red who once feared the Underwater World Singapore became the first to run ahead of us and explore every part of it thoroughly.
Yes, he was so INTO it that he got his WHOLE HAND IN THE MOUTH OF THE STINGRAY unknowingly during feeding time.
*laugh*
A lady was so afraid of getting wet when she was feeding the stingray, that she rammed straight onto me and sent my phone flying out of my hand.
*gasped*
Thank goodness my less-than-2-month-old phone was not damaged.
Thus, explains why there was an abrupt discontinuation after Allan paid $3 each for the stingray food in the video below.
The boys enjoyed touching fish after fish…
and never to forget to wash their hands after that…
Going through the aquarium tunnel did not bring as much excitement as the feeding experience they had earlier.
Yet, watching the diver feeding the fishes and cleaning the aquarium created more amusement for the two little ones.
The kids also watched the seals and pink dolphins show at the Dolphin Lagoon just next to the Underwater World Singapore:~
With that, we said goodbye to Underwater World Singapore.
Will we go back again?
Unlikely.
The kids were not keen on having another visit, unlike the Luge Ride they had on that same day. They were CRAZY over the Luge Ride…just like their Mummy… *laugh*
Blog post on Luge Ride and Sky Ride next…
