Happy 6th Blogoversary!

Special Moments

Its been 6 years since I started blogging.
Over these 6 years, many things have changed.
It started from having the mindset of earning money to being in the community of bloggers to the current status of staying focus on the purpose of this blog.

It was a journey of discovering what is the real purpose of keeping this blog alive.
The happiest time (I thought) back then was to be part of the big group of bloggers from all over the world.
Hopping over to their blogs and reading their life, their thoughts.
Soon, we became close buddies, close friends.
And this group grew so fast, so much so that I could spend hours just reading everyone’s blogs and neglected mine.
It was so difficult to keep up.
My Google Reader, which no longer exists now, is always showing more than 50 unread posts every single day.
It was tiring….

Now, things have changed again.
With other social media sites picking up, like Instagram, though very different from Blogging, it affected the size of the blogging community.
It has shrunk, based on my observation.
Many have stopped blogging completely.

I have changed too.
Now, I’m staying focused on recording the different experiences of my boys and children I’d met.
As simple as that.

I had tried to save this blog so many times!
It died.
It revived.
And it happened again.
and again……….
I could only rely on the experts of my web hosting provider, as I am totally clueless in this aspect.
Feel so helpless when such times come.
I could only pray and wish that the experts continue to perform magic, so that my blog continues to live.

Recently, new problems arose.
The photos in much earlier posts have started to disappear.
A few at a time.
Thus, some of my posts looked pretty weird.
For example, “Look at the picture below.” and there is NO photo below.
“Look at the smiles on their faces.” and there is no picture of any humans.

To spice things up over here, there are more and more broken links found within my blog itself too.
My ‘Broken Link Checker’ told me so.

Such things disturb me because I do not know how to solve them.
Its not only getting on my nerves, its wearing me out.

The big question that some people asked: “How long more do you want to continue to blog?”
This blog, has so many of my memories, its like a diary, its my life.
This blog stays, so long as my web hosting service provider continues, so long as I am still able to type…….this blog is NOT going anywhere!

Happy Birthday Yi-Zhang!

Special Moments

Its the boys’ Yi-Zhang’s birthday and we had an wonderful meal together on 30th September ~ an advance birthday celebration for him.
The birthday boy suggested to go Marche @VivoCity and I was grinning from cheek to cheek when I read that message!
‘cos I wanted to go there for lunch on my birthday, but due to last minute hiccups, it did not come true for me.
So thanks to BIL, he fulfilled one of my birthday wish without even knowing [till now, that is if he gets to read this]!
Thanks bro!

The way Marche welcomes their customers was a delightful surprise for Kitkit and Binbin.
Never had they once given a deep plate and a ‘credit-card’ at any restaurant they had ever visited before.
Though, this was their 2nd time to Marche, they hardly have any memories of their first visit at Marche @Suntec, when they were still toddlers, which I believe no longer exist in that particular corner of that big shopping mall.
Thus EVERYTHING, including the layout inside the restaurant and the variety of food served were exciting for them.

The kids chose dishes from the Picky Kids Meal menu and their ‘credit card’ had a smiley on it, while the adults’ did not.

Kitkit had Chicken Pizza with F&N Grape drink, while Binin had Ham Crepe and Watermelon Juice.

It was a long journey for the birthday boy man to travel from his work-place to Marche @VivoCity, errrmmm….so we decided to eat first, without him. Ooops Sorry!

My sister had the famous Rosti with Cheese Sausage

I am unsure if it was due to my happy mood or was it the emptying of my system just before we met, my appetite was really BIG!!! Errrr…and as a VERY supportive hubby, he was feasting on whatever that I was having.

Allan and I each had a bottle of Root Beer while we shared:-

  1. Swiss Rosti
  2. Salmon Fillet
  3. Veggie Pasta
  4. Single Scoop Ice Cream with  Cream Cheese Crepe

My sister could not help but asked: “Errrmm…two of you….VERY HUNGRY???!!”

When BIL finally arrived, the sky has darkened.
He must be feeling hungry by then.
He ordered:-

  1. Rosti with Smoked Salmon
  2. Mushroom Soup
  3. Pistachio Ice Cream (shared with my sister)
  4. Root Beer (shared with my sister)

I was so busy eating almost non-stop (the only time I was not eating was when I was walking around ordering and waiting for my food infront of the stall. :P ) I forgot to take photographs of what the birthday boy and us ate.
*slap forehead*

But I DID NOT allow myself to forget to get this shot of my boys’ with their favourite Yi-Zhang!

Happy Birthday Yi-Zhang!!!

Happy Birthday
