Dilemma? Maybe…

Parenting

YES!!! (with clenched fists withdrawing to chest and a HUGE Grin on my face…)

Finally! Both boys are in the morning session. A full 4 hours of delicious ME-TIME! Yummy!

So what did I do with my 4hours today? I permed my hair again! *laugh* Followed by couple-time with Allan…*whoo-la-la* *laugh*

Alright, alright, this blog is not about me, but the kids. So, here is a question for all you lovable Mommies who have children in Primary School, morning session:

“Does your kids take nap?
If yes, when?”

Ok, why do I ask?

‘Cos Keatkeat would need to wake up at 6am and when he does, the 7 year old’s whining easily wakes Binbin, thus both will be up at 6am. When they are up so early, they need a nap in the afternoon.

But,
should it be BEFORE Homework?
or AFTER Homework?

Today, we tried the ‘Nap BEFORE Homework’ plan:
-1pm KeatKeat’s lessons end
-1pm to 2pm Lunch time
-2pm to 3pm Travel Home for Shower
-3pm to 3.30pm Toss and Turn before dozing off
-5.30pm Wake them up
-6pm Start doing homework, etc etc

End result?
They have difficulty sleeping at night! *faint*
Binbin fell asleep at 11.25pm.
And now, as I am typing, Keatkeat is still doing his ‘human-size-sushi-rolling’ on his mattress. *eyes rolled*

Tomorrow, we are going to try the 1hour-Nap plan, instead of the 2hour-Nap…….hhmmm…

Are You Proud of Your Child’s Results?

Parenting

Am I proud of my child’s year end results?
No,

I am not proud of it…..

I am SUPER PROUD OF HIM!!!!!
because he passed his CHINESE!!!
*laugh*

Mommy just did whatever that was needed for every child to excel in their exam.
Papa just did whatever that was necessary for every child to stay focused.

Yet, we know what kind of boy we have.

  • Careless,
  • Take-it-Easy,
  • Sinusitis-strikes-at-all-the-wrong-time, kind of kid.

And true enough, he had his nose ‘running all over the place’ during his examination paper. We are starting to feel that his sinus is a psychological problem more than a physical issue.

He can be A-O-K when he is playing; but the moment we asked him to do school work, he started to sneeze. Tested a few times and we are still testing…. *pout*

Anyway, this is AWESOME result to us, especially when my boy is going ‘Ah-Choo’ while completing his exam papers.

*Thumbs Up*

Of course, just like I had mentioned in my previous post: Your Child Character Development, we are focused on bringing up a child with good character more than a child with super academic results; and we are really happy to see this: *smile*
