singapore-flyer.jpgA promise is a promise and when its given to a child, you better NOT break it.

It’s been a long wait for my boys. Remember my promise to them in this post? For my non-Singaporean friends, you can go to that post too, to read about the details of the Singapore Flyer.

There was a school trip organised on the last day of school last month to go here and for the very first time, I psycho-ed my boy NOT to go, because I wanted it to be a family affair!

Today is THE DAY! They are having a “Buy 2 adult tickets and get 2 children tickets for FREE!” during the school holidays. *yeah* So we paid S$59.00 in total for the 30mins ride.

(from left to right) This is how the capsules looked like when they leave the building. Before you board, you’ll be given an audio guide with headphone that tells you (in story form) about the different spots on that map (right).

The kids were in-loved with the audio guide and headphones. There was also a small door gift for the kids too. There were stickers and games for them to play with. But they were too engrossed with the scenery.

Ok, now the sceneries… (left to right) Benjamin Sheares Bridge over the Kallang River. The many hotels and shopping malls, with the 3rd tallest hotel in the World at the back ~ Swissotel The Stamford. My favourite place ~ Marina Barrage.

Marina Golf Course. The Garden at Marina EAst. The Future Integrated Resort (under construction), or better known by most Singaporeans here as Singapore’s future Casino!

The Floating Staduim. The Central Business District. The East Coast Park Expressway.

Our most exciting moment was when we are at the top of the world, standing tall at 165m above the city! As we were entering the building towards the end, we were surprised that there was a mini-artifact of the future Integrated Resort ~ Pretty-Stylo!

When we were OFF the ride. The kids were too tempted to go to the Yakult Rainforest Discovery right at the Foyer of the place, where they could see a couple of tortoises and lots and lots of ‘Lucky’ Koi Fishes…..AND FEED THEM TOO!
